The Museum of Science and Industry
Inspired by his visit to the Deutches Museum in Munich, Julius Rosenwald decided to create a center for "industrial enlightenment" right here, in Chicago. He restored the Palace of Fine Arts and transformed it into a special museum, where visitors could interact with the exhibits. The Museum of Science and Industry was opened in 1933 and is now one of Chicago’s greatest attractions.
